Common Food Ingredients Banned in Other Countries But Not in U.S.

Why are artificial food dyes such as Red 40, Blue 1, Blue 2, Yellow 5 and Yellow 6 banned in other countries such as Denmark, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Norway and Finland but not in the U.S.?
